Project description:
Glass to Power has joined its forces with the innovative start-up Domutopia. Founded in Lissone, the main objective of Domutopia is the realization of sustainable buildings.
The company has commissioned Glass to Power to produce its photovoltaic insulating glass, in order to realize a new project. Domutopia’s project consists in the purchase and renovation of a building, in order to improve energy standards and reduce emissions.
The building is divided into 8 real estate units and will be renovated using the patented by Glass to Power’s IPTG technology. The Insulating Photovoltaic Transparent Glasswill be used to make windows and the roof active photovoltaic surfaces without affecting the aesthetics of the building. The roof and transparent photovoltaic insulating glass will be combined with two traditional photovoltaic systems and energy storage to recharge electric cars at night and operate various other latest-generation electronic devices.
Domutopia completes the project with a full home andbuilding automation. The company developed its own system, capable of interfacing with all the multi-brand devices on the market, smart controlling the electrical, heating and burglar alarm system.
The investment has excellent potential for a quick return on investment(around 12/15 months) through the sale of the housing units.
The life cycle of the building, with particular focus on the first five years, will be monitored to collect data and generate a virtuous model in compliance with the current pressing needs to reduce emissions. In this context, the important experimentation of the Wi-Fi Power project will be promoted to transmit wireless electrical energy.
The project is an important step towards the bright future of clean energy dreamed by Glass to Power.
