BAU 2025, the premier showcase for architecture and construction, witnessed Glass to Power’s debut presentation of Heli-On, our revolutionary photovoltaic window system. The event took place within the exhibition space of MC2.0, the ambitious European project that is redefining the future of Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV).

Heli-On embodies the excellence of next-generation BIPV, integrating the performance of a cutting-edge insulating glass unit with the ability to generate electricity, all while preserving the aesthetics of buildings. Its presentation at BAU 2025 underscores Glass to Power’s active role within MC2.0.

The core of MC2.0’s innovation lies in the “mass customization” approach. The goal is to create modular and adaptable photovoltaic semi-finished products tailored to the specific needs of each architectural project, a concept that promises to reduce costs and accelerate large-scale production.

Glass to Power is proud to be part of this consortium of excellence, which since 2023 has brought together leading research institutions and BIPV companies, including the Italian firms Gualini and Levery. Together, we are working to overcome the barriers that have so far hindered the widespread adoption of integrated photovoltaics, aiming for solutions that are not only efficient and sustainable but also aesthetically pleasing and economically advantageous.

Thanks to projects like MC2.0, the integration of photovoltaics into buildings is evolving from a vision to a concrete and accessible reality. Roofs, facades, and, thanks to Heli-On, even windows will transform into sources of clean energy, helping to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and make buildings energy sustainable.
