The BAU 2025 construction fair, held in Munich, concluded on January 17th. This edition was marked by pervasive innovation, as well as a sense of hope and courage within the construction industry in the face of economic and climate challenges. For the first time in over 60 years, the share of international exhibitors surpassed that of German exhibitors, with participants from 58 countries.

Over the five days of the event, BAU 2025 welcomed over 180,000 visitors who came to explore the offerings of 2,230 exhibitors. Italy confirmed its position as the most represented country after Germany, followed by China, Turkey, Austria, and Switzerland. International participation among visitors was also significant, with 44% coming from abroad.

Innovation and sustainability: the heart of our presence

At BAU 2025, Glass to Power presented Heli-ON, an insulated glass unit with a photovoltaic frame capable of generating energy while maintaining transparency and aesthetic elegance. Heli-ON fits perfectly with the dominant themes of this edition of BAU 2025, such as “resilient and climate-friendly construction” and “resource efficiency,” offering a concrete solution for new-generation buildings.

Our stand attracted the attention of numerous professionals, including architects, engineers, and other construction industry operators, interested in exploring how photovoltaic glazing can transform buildings into sustainable energy generators, without compromising aesthetics or functionality.

European project MC 2.0 and collaboration with Gualini

Our presence at BAU 2025 took place within the European project MC 2.0, an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable innovation in the construction sector. We would also like to thank GUALINI, our partner in this European MC 2.0 project. Our Heli-ON photovoltaic glazing was integrated into one of their advanced facade systems, demonstrating that our product is mature and easily integrable into modern facade systems.

An open dialogue with the sector

During the five days of the fair, the Glass to Power team had the opportunity to meet international partners, potential customers, and representatives of academic institutions. These meetings were fundamental for sharing our vision on the importance of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and for exploring synergies with other companies and stakeholders.

A message of trust and hope

Despite the challenging economic context, a climate of trust was palpable in the BAU 2025 pavilions.

The interest in innovative solutions like Heli-ON is a testament to a sector ready to take on the challenges of the future.
