As a deep-tech company, Glass to Power is actively involved in several research and innovation projects funded by national and international grants:
– 2018-2021: Nanofarm, supported by Provincia Autonoma di Trento (Italy), within the framework of local law-LP 6/99 funds, and aimed at running pilot scale lines for the production of QDs and the complete assembly of the Photovoltaic Insulating Glass Unit with the highest standards of sustainability, safety and circularity.
– 2021-2022: Help2Grow, in collaboration with Enerbrain, supported by Regione Piemonte (Italy), within the framework of Por Fesr 2014/2020 funds, and aimed at the rooftop installation and exploitation of the QD-LSC technology to boost the light-induced growth of crops in high-tech greenhouses.
– 2021-2025: NanoCal – blue-sky project within the framework of AIDAinnova (Horizon 2020 Project, Grant Agreement ID 101004761) – aimed at the development of next-generation radiation detectors based on nanostructured materials.
– 2023-2026: MC2.0 (Horizon Europe Project, Grant Agreement ID 101096139) aimed at breaking down the barriers to large-scale market adoption of BIPV technologies, for example by achieving a cost breakthrough by means of advanced manufacturing techniques, also known as “mass customisation”.
– 2023-2027: UNICORN (Horizon EIC Pathfinder, Grant Agreement ID 101098649) aimed at developing unprecedented nanocomposite scintillator detectors based on engineered nanomaterials for transformative breakthroughs in strategic radiation detection areas.
