The Arv Hub project, located in the municipality of Trento (TN), represents a significant construction initiative within the local urban context, characterized primarily by commercial and service uses.
We were involved in a specific intervention on the south facade, a strategic area for optimizing solar gain. The main objective was to combine aesthetics, innovation, and sustainability by introducing technological solutions capable of improving the building's energy performance without altering its architectural identity.
To this end, the new Heli-On technology was adopted—an advanced system that allows for the fully invisible and non-invasive integration of photovoltaic modules.
The application of Heli-On technology on the south facade of the Arv Hub contributes to improving the building's overall efficiency, promoting the autonomous production of electricity from renewable sources.
Heli-On technology represents a next-generation photovoltaic solution designed to integrate seamlessly into the glazed surfaces of buildings.
This solution constitutes a significant evolution compared to traditional visible photovoltaic panels, as it maintains a uniform, continuous, and perfectly transparent appearance. In fact, Heli-On glass is 100% transparent; thus, the photovoltaic glazing becomes an integral part of the building's design, enhancing its aesthetics while simultaneously boosting its energy performance.
From a technical standpoint, Heli-On guarantees thermal performance equivalent to that of a traditional double-glazed unit, ensuring indoor comfort. It enables the production of renewable energy without compromising occupant well-being or the quality of natural light.
