The structure was conceived as a distinctive element within its surrounding context, combining aesthetic value with environmental sustainability.
Our contribution involved the supply of the photovoltaic modules installed on the pyramid’s surfaces, enabling the structure to generate electricity from renewable sources while taking advantage of the high solar exposure of the Sicilian territory. The project demonstrates how photovoltaic technologies can be used not only for energy generation, but also to enhance works and installations with a strong visual impact.
The pyramid thus becomes a symbol of innovation and environmental awareness, showing how design and clean energy generation can coexist within a single solution.

For the construction of the pyramid, the Artistic Solar Panel was used, a photovoltaic solution designed to combine high energy performance with maximum architectural integration. In this project, the system was developed with an unconventional geometry, featuring triangular modules instead of the traditional rectangular format. The panels were custom-designed to adapt to the pyramid’s geometry and ensure the visual continuity of the building envelope.
The distinctive configuration of the structure required a dedicated installation solution capable of following the different inclinations of its surfaces and ensuring the correct alignment of the modules along the various slopes. The use of triangular panels made it possible to uniformly cover the pyramid, transforming the building envelope into an active surface for energy generation without compromising its architectural value.
The Glass-Glass technology encapsulates the photovoltaic cells between two sheets of glass, providing greater resistance to weather conditions, enhanced cell protection, and superior long-term durability compared with traditional modules. The coloured finish of the panels also contributes to the aesthetic customization of the project, allowing the photovoltaic system to be seamlessly integrated into the architectural design while maintaining a high level of visual and formal quality.
