Glass to Power is pleased to announce the completion of its contribution to the ARV Services Hub in Trento. This ambitious project, a prototype of sustainable architecture, has established itself as a benchmark for “climate-resilient communities.” Designed in wood, energy-positive, and based on the principles of a circular economy, the building represents a tangible model for zero-emission construction.

Developed as part of the European program ARV – Climate Positive Circular Communities, the ARV Hub was conceived as an open-air laboratory for the integration of cutting-edge technologies.

Heli-On: Aesthetics and Functionality in the Façade

In June 2025, we completed the integration of our Heli-On photovoltaic glass on the south façade of the ARV Hub. This BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) solution transformed a passive surface into an active element that generates clean energy without compromising the design.

Heli-On demonstrates how it’s possible to combine architectural aesthetics with functional efficiency. Our transparent glass has provided:

  • High-quality insulation: Contributing to internal thermal and acoustic comfort.
  • Minimalist design: Integrating harmoniously with the building’s architecture.
  • Energy production: Turning the façade into an active source of renewable energy.

Thanks to this integration, the ARV Hub is no longer a simple consumer, but an energy producer, actively contributing to climate neutrality goals.

A Winning Collaboration

The success of this project is the result of a close collaboration among leading experts from the worlds of research and industry. Glass to Power is proud to have worked alongside top-tier partners, including: University of Trento, Politecnico di Torino, Municipality of Trento, Habitech, Eurac Research, Dolomiti Energia, XLAM Dolomiti, Fanti Group, Armalam S.R.L., ZANETTI Srl, and CLIMAcenter.

The ARV Hub in Trento is a concrete showcase of sustainable construction innovation, and we are confident that our contribution, along with that of the other partners, will pave the way for a more sustainable future for the building industry.
